Shepherd’s Pie is traditionally made with ground lamb, while Cottage Pie is made with ground beef. This recipe combines the flavors of Shawarma spices with the comforting layers of a Shepherd’s Pie, creating a delicious fusion dish.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion, garlic, and carrots, and cook until softened.

Add the ground lamb and cook until browned. Stir in the shawarma spice blend, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and beef stock. Simmer for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, peel and chop the potatoes. Boil them until tender, then drain and mash with butter, milk, salt, and black pepper.

Stir the frozen peas into the lamb mixture. Transfer the lamb mixture to a baking dish and top with the mashed potatoes.

Bake for 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden and the filling is bubbling.
