Ingredients
  • 1 cup Semolina
  • 2 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 4 tablespoon Butter
  • 4 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon zest
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a round cake pan.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the milk and sugar over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved. Add the butter and stir until melted.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs, vanilla extract, and lemon zest. Gradually add the semolina and baking powder, mixing well.
  4. Slowly pour the hot milk mixture into the semolina mixture, stirring constantly.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes or until golden brown and set.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it rest in the pan for 10 minutes.
  8. Invert the cake onto a serving plate and let it cool completely before serving.
  9. Serve the semolina souffle cake as is or with a dusting of powdered sugar.
