  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust and place it in a pie dish.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the sliced apples, granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
  4. Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust.
  5. Dot the top of the apple mixture with cubed butter.
  6. Roll out the remaining pie crust and cut it into strips.
  7. Create a lattice pattern on top of the pie by weaving the strips over and under each other.
  8. Brush the beaten egg over the lattice crust.
  9. Sprinkle turbinado sugar on top.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  11. Allow the pie to cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
