Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, cook the sausage until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.

Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute.

Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until thickened.

Add the cheddar cheese, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the cheese is melted.

Add the cooked macaroni and cooked sausage to the cheese sauce. Mix well.

In a small bowl, combine the bread crumbs and parsley. Sprinkle the mixture over the mac 'n' cheese.
