Rustic Shepard’s Pie

Shepard’s Pie is traditionally made with lamb, but this version uses ground beef instead.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.

Add the onion, carrots, peas, beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, garlic, thyme, and rosemary. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

In a separate pot, boil the potatoes until tender. Drain and mash with butter, milk, salt, and black pepper.

Transfer the beef mixture to a baking dish and spread the mashed potatoes on top.

Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the potatoes are golden brown.
