Ingredients
  • 2 cup Pie crust
  • 4 large Apples (peeled, cored, and sliced)
  • 1 cup Raisins
  • 2 tablespoon Rum
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoon All-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoon Butter (cold and cubed)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out one pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, raisins, rum, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and all-purpose flour. Mix well.
  4. Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust.
  5. Dot the top of the filling with the cubed butter.
  6. Roll out the second pie crust and place it on top of the filling. Trim and crimp the edges.
  7. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the pie cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
