Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoon Granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Raspberries
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Rose water
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Gently fold in the raspberries.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it a few times until it comes together. Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick circle.
  5. Cut the dough into 8 wedges and transfer them to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. While the scones are cooling, make the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar and rose water until smooth.
  8. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled scones and serve.
