Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the beaten egg, milk, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Spread half of the batter into the prepared cake pan. Top with fresh raspberries.

In a small bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, lemon juice, and almond extract until smooth. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the raspberries.

Spoon the remaining batter over the cream cheese mixture, spreading it out evenly.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
