Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Fresh raspberries
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Chopped walnuts
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg, milk, and vanilla extract together. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared cake pan. Top with fresh raspberries.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped walnuts. Sprinkle the mixture over the raspberries.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
