Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.

In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the almond extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Gently fold in the raspberries.

Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top.

Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
