  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just blended.
  5. Divide the batter evenly into six bowls. Add a few drops of food coloring to each bowl and mix until well combined.
  6. Spoon the colored batters into the prepared cake pans, layering the colors. Use a toothpick to swirl the colors together for a marbled effect.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pans for 10 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Once cooled, spread whipped cream between the cake layers and on top. Decorate with sprinkles.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
