Rainbow Cake
Rainbow cake, also known as layer cake or unicorn cake, is a popular dessert known for its bright and colorful appearance. It is often served for celebrations and parties.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).

In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

Stir in the vanilla extract.

Alternate adding the dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.

Divide the batter evenly into six bowls and add a different food coloring to each bowl. Mix well.

Pour each colored batter into separate greased and lined cake pans.

Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cakes to cool for 10 minutes in the pans, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once the cakes are cooled, level the tops if necessary.

Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread a layer of buttercream frosting on top.

Repeat with the remaining layers, stacking them on top of each other and spreading frosting in between.

Frost the outside of the cake and decorate as desired.

Allow the cake to rest for at least an hour before serving.
