Ingredients
  • 1 sheet Shortcrust pastry
  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 2 medium Potato
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 medium Carrot
  • 1 cup Frozen peas
  • 1 cup Beef stock
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 beaten Egg
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large pan, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the onion, carrot, and potato to the pan and cook until softened.
  4. Stir in the frozen peas, beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Roll out the shortcrust pastry and line a pie dish with it.
  6. Pour the beef mixture into the pie dish.
  7. Cover the pie dish with another layer of shortcrust pastry and crimp the edges to seal.
  8. Brush the beaten egg over the top of the pastry.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
  10. Allow the pie to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
