  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the beef stew meat over medium heat until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until softened.
  4. Add the frozen mixed vegetables, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, flour, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
  5. Return the browned beef stew meat to the skillet and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a 9-inch pie dish.
  7. Place one puff pastry sheet over the pie dish, trimming any excess pastry.
  8. Brush the beaten egg over the pastry.
  9. Place the second puff pastry sheet on top, sealing the edges with the bottom pastry.
  10. Brush the top pastry with the beaten egg.
  11. Cut a few slits in the top pastry to allow steam to escape.
  12. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
  13. Allow the pot pie to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
