  • 1 cup Pumpkin Puree
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Maple Syrup
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg, pumpkin puree, and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, and mix until just combined.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently until it comes together.
  7. Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick circle and cut into 8 wedges.
  8. Transfer the scones to the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. While the scones are cooling, prepare the maple brown sugar icing by whisking together the powdered sugar, maple syrup, and brown sugar until smooth.
  10. Drizzle the icing over the cooled scones and serve.
