Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the pumpkin puree, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the vanilla extract. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
