Potato Pierogi
Pierogi are considered one of the national dishes of Poland and have been enjoyed for centuries. They are traditionally served during holidays and family gatherings.
This is vegetarian and high protein recipe. Dish can be prepared in 90 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 7.

Boil the potatoes until tender, then peel and mash them.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, flour, finely chopped onion, vegetable oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until a dough forms.

On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a thin sheet. Use a glass or a round cutter to cut out circles.

Place a spoonful of the potato filling onto each dough circle. Fold the circle in half and pinch the edges together to seal.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pierogi in batches for about 5 minutes or until they float to the surface.

Remove the cooked pierogi from the water using a slotted spoon and transfer them to a plate.

In a frying pan, heat some vegetable oil and fry the pierogi until golden brown.

Serve the potato pierogi hot with sour cream or your favorite sauce.
