Ingredients
  • 250 gram Potatoes
  • 200 gram Dark Chocolate
  • 150 gram Butter
  • 150 gram Sugar
  • 3 unit Eggs
  • 100 gram All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 2 tablespoon Cocoa Powder
  • 100 milliliter Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 pinch Salt
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a round cake pan.
  2. Peel and boil the potatoes until tender. Drain and mash them.
  3. In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate and butter together. Stir until smooth.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, beat the sugar and eggs until creamy. Add the melted chocolate mixture and mix well.
  5. Sift in the flour, baking powder, and cocoa powder. Mix until combined.
  6. Gradually add the mashed potatoes, milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until the batter is smooth.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Once cooled, you can dust the cake with powdered sugar or frost with your favorite frosting.
