Poppy seeds are derived from the opium poppy plant, but they do not contain any narcotic properties.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, vanilla extract, and milk.
