Pop cakes, also known as cake pops, were first popularized by baker and author Angie Dudley, also known as Bakerella, in 2008.

This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 60 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 9.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease a pop cake mold.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, and food coloring.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing well until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into the pop cake mold, filling about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  8. Carefully remove the pop cakes from the mold and let them cool completely.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
