  2. Wash and pit the plums, then cut them into quarters.
  3. In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add the butter and vanilla extract to the flour mixture. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Beat the eggs in a separate bowl, then add them to the flour mixture. Stir until well combined.
  6. Grease a baking dish and spread the plum quarters evenly on the bottom.
  7. Pour the batter over the plums, spreading it out to cover them completely.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
