Ingredients
  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.75 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup Milk
  • 0.5 cup Pistachios
  • 0.5 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 cup Whipping cream
  • 4 drop Green food coloring
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the milk, mixing just until incorporated. Fold in the pistachios.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, whipping cream, and green food coloring until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake.
  6. Slice and serve.
