In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, mandarin oranges, and crushed pineapple. Mix well.

Pour the batter into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.

Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

In a separate bowl, prepare the instant vanilla pudding mix according to the package instructions using milk.

Once the cake has cooled, spread the pudding mixture over the top.

Top with whipped topping, maraschino cherries, and chopped pecans.
