Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix well until combined.
  4. Stir in boiling water. The batter will be thin, but that's okay.
  5. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth. Gradually add powdered sugar and mix until well combined.
  9. In another bowl, whip the whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
  10. Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese-peanut butter mixture.
  11. Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread a layer of the peanut butter cream on top.
  12. Place the second cake layer on top and frost the entire cake with the remaining peanut butter cream.
  13. Sprinkle chocolate chips and chopped peanuts on top for decoration.
  14. Refrigerate the cake for at least 1 hour before serving.
  15. Enjoy your delicious Peanut Butter-Chocolate Cake!
