Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and minced garlic, sauté until golden.

Add ground beef to the pan and cook until browned. Season with cumin, paprika, turmeric, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.

Remove the pan from heat and let the meat mixture cool.

Roll out one sheet of puff pastry and line a pie dish with it.

Spoon the cooled meat mixture onto the puff pastry.

Roll out the second sheet of puff pastry and cover the pie, sealing the edges.

Beat the egg and brush it over the top of the pie.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.

Let the pastel rest for 10 minutes before serving.
