  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, egg, vanilla extract, and instant coffee granules.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped walnuts.
  5. Grease a 9-inch round baking dish and spread half of the batter evenly.
  6. Sprinkle half of the brown sugar mixture over the batter.
  7. Repeat with the remaining batter and brown sugar mixture.
  8. Cover the baking dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.
  9. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  10. Remove the plastic wrap from the baking dish and bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  11. Allow the coffee cake to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
