  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Crush 15 Oreo cookies and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Fold in the crushed Oreo cookies.
  4. Pour the batter into three greased and lined 20cm (8-inch) round cake pans. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cakes to cool completely.
  5. In a chilled bowl, whip the cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
  6. Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread a layer of whipped cream on top. Repeat with the remaining cake layers and whipped cream.
  7. Pour the chocolate ganache over the top of the cake, allowing it to drip down the sides. Decorate with additional Oreo cookies.
  8. Refrigerate the cake for at least 1 hour before serving.
