Ingredients
  • 2 cup Flour
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoon Orange zest
  • 3/4 cup Fresh orange juice
  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a round cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract and orange zest.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the orange juice and buttermilk.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  9. Transfer the cake to a wire rack and let it cool completely.
