Ingredients
  • 500 gram Onions
  • 50 gram Butter
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 3 unit Eggs
  • 200 milliliter Milk
  • 150 gram Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large pan, melt the butter with olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the sliced onions and cook until they become soft and golden brown, stirring occasionally.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Grease a pie dish and pour half of the egg mixture into it.
  6. Spread the caramelized onions evenly over the egg mixture.
  7. Pour the remaining egg mixture over the onions.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the pie is set and golden brown.
  9. Allow the pie to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
