  3. Add the sautéed onion and chopped basil to the flour mixture.
  4. Gradually add water and mix until a dough forms.
  5. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rest for 1 hour.
  7. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  8. Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal portions.
  9. Shape each portion into a bun and place them on a baking sheet.
  10. Brush the buns with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
  11. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Allow the buns to cool slightly before serving.
