Ingredients
  • 2 cup Pie crust
  • 2 pound Apples
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out one pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. Peel, core, and slice the apples.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mix well.
  5. Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust.
  6. Dot the top of the apple mixture with small pieces of butter.
  7. Roll out the second pie crust and place it on top of the apple mixture.
  8. Trim and crimp the edges of the pie crust.
  9. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  10. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  11. Remove from the oven and let it cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  12. Serve warm or at room temperature.
