In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, melted butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in raisins and chopped nuts. Spoon the batter into a greased muffin tin. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
