Ingredients
  • 250 gram Dates
  • 1 cup Toffee Sauce
  • 200 gram Butter
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 3 unit Eggs
  • 2 cup All-purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Chopped Nuts (e.g. Walnuts, Pecans)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the dates, toffee sauce, butter, and brown sugar. Cook over medium heat until the butter and sugar are melted, and the dates are soft.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs. Gradually add the date mixture to the eggs, stirring continuously.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the date mixture and stir well.
  6. Fold in the chopped nuts.
  7. Pour the batter into the greased cake pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  10. Transfer the cake onto a wire rack and let it cool completely.
  11. Serve and enjoy!
