  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 0.5 cup Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 Eggs
  • 0.75 cup Boiling water
  • 0.5 cup Strawberry jam
  • 1 cup Whipped cream
  • for garnish Fresh strawberries
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add the milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and eggs to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the boiling water to the batter, mixing continuously.
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared cake pan. Dollop spoonfuls of strawberry jam on top and swirl it into the batter using a knife.
  6. Pour the remaining batter over the jam layer.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Once cooled, spread whipped cream over the top of the cake and garnish with fresh strawberries.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
