  • 500 gram Apples
  • 200 gram Raisins
  • 200 gram Currants
  • 200 gram Sultanas
  • 100 gram Mixed peel
  • 200 gram Brown sugar
  • 100 gram Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon Orange zest
  • 2 teaspoon Mixed spice
  • 2 teaspoon Brandy
Instructions
  1. In a large saucepan, combine the apples, raisins, currants, sultanas, mixed peel, brown sugar, butter, lemon zest, orange zest, and mixed spice.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender and the mixture is thickened, about 30 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the brandy.
  4. Allow the filling to cool completely before using it in pies or storing it in jars.
