Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is browned and cooked through.

Drain any excess grease from the skillet.

Add the chili powder, cumin powder, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine.

Stir in the tomato sauce and kidney beans. Simmer for 10 minutes.

Spread half of the Fritos corn chips in the bottom of a baking dish.

Pour the beef mixture over the corn chips.

Top with the remaining corn chips and shredded cheddar cheese.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.

Serve the Frito Pie hot, topped with sour cream and sliced green onions.
