  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Crush the matzo crackers into fine crumbs.
  3. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
  4. Add the mushrooms and cook until they release their juices.
  5. Sprinkle flour over the mushroom mixture and stir well.
  6. Slowly pour in the vegetable broth while stirring continuously.
  7. Add the peas, thyme leaves, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the mixture thickens.
  8. Stir in the heavy cream and remove from heat.
  9. In a separate skillet, melt the remaining butter and mix it with the crushed matzo crackers.
  10. Press the matzo mixture into the bottom and sides of a pie dish.
  11. Pour the mushroom filling into the prepared crust.
  12. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  13. Allow the pot pie to rest for 15 minutes before serving.
