  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a round cake tin with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the Toblerone chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water, stirring until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar and eggs until pale and fluffy.
  4. Gradually pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
  5. Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Fold gently until just combined.
  6. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract until the batter is smooth.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake tin and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the tin for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. In the meantime, whip the whipping cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  11. Once the cake is completely cooled, spread the whipped cream over the top.
  12. Grate some Toblerone chocolate over the whipped cream for decoration.
  13. Let the cake rest for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to develop.
  14. Slice and serve.
