Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a round cake pan.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and dark chocolate together in short bursts, stirring in between, until smooth.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar and eggs until well combined.

Gradually pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, stirring continuously.

Sift in the flour and cocoa powder, and add the vanilla extract and salt. Mix until just combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
