Ingredients
  • 1.5 cup Mountain Dew
  • 0.5 cup Butter
  • 1.5 cup Sugar
  • 3 unit Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon extract
  • 1 teaspoon Lime extract
  • 2.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon Lime zest
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the lemon extract and lime extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with Mountain Dew. Begin and end with the dry ingredients.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9-inch (23cm) round cake pan.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, lemon zest, and lime zest.
  11. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake.
  12. Serve and enjoy!
