Shepherd’s Pie originated in the UK and was traditionally made with leftover roasted meat. The Moroccan twist adds unique flavors to this classic dish.

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic cloves, and cook until the onion is translucent.

Add the ground lamb to the skillet and cook until browned.

Stir in the diced carrots, frozen peas, tomato paste, ground cumin, ground coriander, ground cinnamon, and broth. Cook for another 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a separate pot, boil the diced potatoes until tender. Drain and mash the potatoes with butter, milk, salt, and black pepper.

Transfer the lamb mixture to a baking dish and spread the mashed potatoes on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.

Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
