Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Heat a large pan over medium heat and add the minced beef. Cook until browned, then remove from the pan and set aside.

In the same pan, add the onion, carrot, and peas. Cook until the vegetables are softened.

Return the minced beef to the pan and add the beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, and tomato paste. Stir well to combine.

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the beef mixture, stirring well to combine. Cook for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.

Transfer the beef mixture to a pie dish.

Roll out the puff pastry and place it over the pie dish, trimming any excess pastry. Brush the pastry with beaten egg.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and cooked through.
