Ingredients
  • 200 gram Milk Chocolate
  • 1 teaspoon Maldon Sea Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Tellicherry Pepper
  • 1.5 cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 150 gram Unsalted Butter
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 3 unit Eggs
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Grease and flour a cake pan.
  3. In a heatproof bowl, melt the milk chocolate over a pan of simmering water. Set aside to cool slightly.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, Maldon sea salt, and Tellicherry pepper.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  6. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the melted chocolate.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk and vanilla extract. Mix until just combined.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  11. Transfer the cake to a wire rack and let it cool completely.
