  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoon Cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Dark chocolate
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Powdered sugar
  • as needed for decoration Edible silver stars
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased and floured cake pan.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate and heavy cream together, stirring until smooth.
  10. Pour the ganache over the cooled cake, allowing it to drip down the sides.
  11. Sprinkle powdered sugar and edible silver stars on top for decoration.
  12. Let the cake rest for 1 hour before serving. Enjoy!
