Spoon the meringue mixture onto the prepared baking sheets, forming two 8-inch circles. Smooth the tops with a spatula.

Bake for 1 hour, then turn off the oven and let the meringue cool completely inside.

In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate over a pan of simmering water. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

In a separate bowl, whip the cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold in the melted chocolate and kirsch liqueur.

Place one meringue circle on a serving plate. Spread half of the chocolate cream mixture evenly over the meringue. Top with the second meringue circle and spread the remaining chocolate cream mixture on top.
