Meat Pies
Meat pies have been a popular dish in British and Australian cuisines for centuries. They were traditionally eaten by the working class as a portable and filling meal.
This is high protein and non vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 80 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 12.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.

Add the onion, carrot, and peas to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes.

Stir in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce, then sprinkle the flour over the mixture. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat and let the mixture cool for 10 minutes.

Roll out one puff pastry sheet and line a greased pie dish with it.

Pour the meat mixture into the pie dish and spread it evenly.

Roll out the second puff pastry sheet and place it over the filling.

Press the edges of the pastry sheets together to seal the pie.

Brush the beaten egg over the top of the pie.

Cut a few slits in the top pastry to allow steam to escape.

Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
