  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened.
  4. Stir in the frozen mixed vegetables, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Roll out one pie crust and place it in a greased pie dish.
  6. Pour the meat mixture into the pie crust.
  7. Roll out the second pie crust and place it on top of the meat mixture. Seal the edges and cut slits in the top crust.
  8. Brush the beaten egg over the top crust.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  10. Allow the meat pie to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
