  4. Add the carrots, peas, beef stock, flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, and thyme to the pan with the ground beef. Cook until the mixture thickens.
  5. Transfer the ground beef mixture to a baking dish. Spread the cornmeal mixture over the top.
  6. Beat the egg and brush it over the cornmeal topping.
  7. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
