Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

Peel, core, and dice the apples.

In a bowl, mix the diced apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt.

In a saucepan, melt the butter and add the apple mixture. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add water and cook for another 5 minutes until the apples are tender.

Remove from heat and let it cool for 10 minutes.

Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into squares.

Place a spoonful of the apple mixture onto one half of each square.

Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling and press the edges to seal.

Use a fork to make small indentations on the edges.

Place the pies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
