  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a round cake tin.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the Mars Bars and butter over low heat, stirring until smooth.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the caster sugar and eggs until pale and fluffy.
  4. Gradually add the melted Mars Bars mixture to the sugar and eggs, whisking continuously.
  5. Sift in the self-raising flour and cocoa powder, and fold gently until combined.
  6. Stir in the milk to loosen the batter.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake tin and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 40 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Once cooled, mix the icing sugar with enough water to form a thick icing.
  11. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the cake and spread the icing on top.
  12. Decorate with extra chopped Mars Bars.
  13. Let the cake rest for at least 30 minutes before serving.
